1966 Commercial for Kellogg's Corn Flakes with Jimmy Durante

Published 1966

A somewhat humorous commercial for Kellogg's corn flakes with Jimmy Durante. This United States commercial is taken from a 1966 TV-episode. This commercial uses various look-alike sets for comic effect. Sorry for the poor quality of the color.

This comes from an episode of "Batman". Obviously, the show cannot be uploaded. However, this commercial should be OK.

Episode ran for about 29 minutes. About 3 to 5 minutes of that was advertising. This commercial features the popular Jimmy Durante (I hope I spelled his name right). Using various sets, they create the illusion he is getting bigger.

The quality of the colour is poor. The rest of the commercials in the episode ranged from black-and-white, to blue-and-white. Don't ask.

This commercial is OK, good, yeah, I uploaded, yeah, I shouldn't review my own items, blah blah blaaaaaaaahhhhh!

I presume this commercial was aimed at kids, but used Jimmy to create a commercial that kids would enjoy for being silly, while Adults liked seeing Jimmy again, even if it is just a cheap commercial.

(Hey, the actual show worked on several levels, Kids like the adventure, while Adults laughed at the jokes/humor).

It is a real shame I cannot upload the show itself. It is quite nice.
